…on Route 66. Yes, the next map rework and updating project for American Truck Simulator now when the California rework has wrapped up is apparently to be the classic Route 66 through the southwestern states of Arizona and New Mexico.
Once the Illinois map expansion drops, the whole area the old and legendary Route 66 passed through will be available in American Truck Simulator, which means it makes sense for SCS to revisit the now oldest mapped state in order to get the road there a little more up to date in all its historical glory.
Roads, towns and the general areas the old Route 66 passes through will be rebuilt from the ground up and we can expect a new experience on par with what we have become accustomed to in the newer maps.
SCS hasn’t provided any date for the project to be finished so we will just have to wait and see. But it is nice to know that they continue with their efforts to go back and improve earlier released maps.
