So we got this idea that since there actually exist a very nice wine cellar, maybe, just maybe it could be accessible with a skid steer. After all there are ramps…
I will gracefully omit to show you what happens when trying to lift a heavy wine barrel with a skid steer which is already in a 45-degree angle. Let’s just say that its lift force and distribution of mass get a bit limited.
These shenanigans took place on the Italia Emilia Extension map by Edomod – which is still one of the best maps in existence for FS22.
Isn’t it beautiful? The tractor I mean. A shiny new Kubota is doing its first job. Fetching water from what probably is the most picturesque water source I’ve ever come across on a map.
It is FarmCon time and that means it is time for Giants Software to present new add-ons for Farming Simulator 22. Actually, they started in advance by presenting what the Platinum Pack for the game would include: the advent of Volvo machines and a new forestry map to go with them. But let’s take the new stuff in order.
A Vermeer DLC Closest in time is a new DLC of the smaller type which will introduce the farming equipment brand Vermeer to the game. The highlight in this pack is doubtlessly Vermeer’s self-propelled baler but the pack also includes a trailer mower, a bale processor, a twin rake and a conventional baler.
The Vermeer DLC will be released August 24.
Pumps N’ Hoses DLC From third-party mod developer Creative Mesh, who earlier have made the Straw Harvest DLC for Farming Simulator 17 and 19, comes a new package dedicated to the handling of manure and slurry on the farm. Even if the DLC is created by Creative Mesh, it will be published and sold by Giants and as such works like any other in-house produced DLC. It will be available from September 27.
The Platinum Pack or Upgrade On November 15 it is time for the traditional one-year-after-initial-release Platinum edition of the game. As usual it comes both as a new starter pack and as an upgrade pack for those who already have the basegame.
As stated above the Platinum pack has a bit of a forestry angle this year, with a new forestry map called Silverrun Forest and new equipment from Volvo CE. The pack is a larger thing than the common DLC and will provide – among other things – more than 40 new machines and tools of different brands, some new gameplay functions, and the aforementioned Silverrun Forest map.
Sometimes things doesn’t go entirely according to plan… (Yes, I admit it, reversing with a trailer in narrow spaces still isn’t my best skill.)
Taken during the grape harvest on a visually gorgeous third-party mod map called Italia Emilia and made by Edomod. The machinery visible here is standard basegame stuff.
In short it contains – which should come as no surprise – a number of Kubota tractors and other orange-coloured machinery. It also brings the possibility to go as a passenger in vehicles where there are spaces for passengers. (As far as I can tell this does not include the side-seats in tractors.)
As follows, the basegame was patched with patch 1.6 just before the DLC premiere as well with a bunch of minor modifications and fixes.
Changelog patch 1.6:

It’s time to harvest the sorghum on the big fields in Nebraska so it’s time to bring out the big equipment.
Here we have the John Deere 9620 R and a Demco 1300 auger wagon taking a short break in the work. The John Deere is the basegame tractor while the Demco 22 Series grain cart is a very nice third-party mod from Custom Modding and is available in the official modhub.
And once the sorghum has been safely stored away it’s time for the next crop. This time soybeans. And there’s not always time enough during the daylight hours when there’s a lot to harvest.
Giants Software has released yet another free DLC for Farming Simulator 22. This time it is a pack with silos, augers and more from AGI. The pack also includes a new method to make seed from your harvested grain by using a seed treater.
It can be good to be aware that in order to get the AGI Pack you have to “buy” it in Steam’s store. The price for purchase is zero though, so it’s very affordable.
AGI is a globally leading manufacturer of portable and stationary grain handling, storage and conditioning equipment. Engineering unique, market-specific systems, they maintain an international network to supply the world’s food infrastructure with more than 35 different brands.
In connection with the AGI Pack DLC release Farming Simulator 22 is also updated with the 1.5 patch which addresses some game quirks.

This is quite possibly the smallest harvester I’ve ever driven. But this little Vistula is so cute that it’s hard not to fall in love with it! Also you can almost feel the wind in your hair as you sit in the open seat, watching the golden straw go by.
The Vistula KZB-3 is a Polish harvester from earlier times manufactured by FMŻ. The mod is made by Deus_Volt and can be found in the official modhub.
The map I am on is the “eastern part of Europe”-inspired Osada, also available in the modhub. It is made by RajotGPLAY.
Doing some harvesting in the picturesque English countryside (although I admit it’s not the best picture for showing that). The map mod Calmsden Farm is made by Oxygendavid and is a very lifelike replica of the real life area in Gloustershire, England. The mod is available in the official modhub.
The harvester used in the picture is a basegame New Holland. And yes, it’s leased, because when starting from scratch the money for such shiny, new things are a bit limited.
Giants have now released the game changing (if you want to, it’s still fully possibly to play without Precision Farming if you want to keep the simpler, traditional way of gameplay) Precision Farming DLC. Just like it’s namesake predecessor for FS19, the Precision Farming DLC is a project co-sponsored by an EU fund and John Deere among others.
Simultaneously the release of the DLC it is patch time again (patch 1.4) and as usual for Farming Simulator 22 it comes with not only bugfixes but also with some new free content. This time it is the new brand Salek as well as a new Claas machine. In total seven new things to play with.
