Welcome to Karhuvaara

It is time to honour the northern part of my ancestry, so welcome to Karhuvaara, Finland. Land of lakes, birch trees and long summer days.

Luckily it’s still summer for now, so let’s forget about those short winter days. There’s work to be done. On our newly acquired field the barley is golden yellow and ready to be harvested. That potato field on the other side of the river looks quite promising too.

When starting out as a northern farmer it is a good thing that there already exist some equipment which maybe isn’t the newest models, but they are still very functional for our purpose. The Junkkari trailer is fresh from the store though and as such quite a bit newer than the workhorse pulling it.

The map is a mod made by INF Modding and available on the modhub, so is the Junkkari J16 trailer which is made by Farmari99. The New Holland TX 32 harvester is a free official Giants mod, and the Volvo BM 2654 tractor is part of the Platinum Expansion Pack DLC.

FS22: More about the Premium Edition

Giants have released some new videos showing off both Zielonka – the new map coming to Farming Simulator 22 with the Premium Expansion/Edition in November – and some of the new machinery that will be included.

Welcome to Zielonka.
New playthings.

The Premium Edition and the Premium Expansion Pack for Farming Simulator 22 will be released November 14, 2023.

Horsch Pack DLC coming soon

When it rains it pours. Which is probably a bad manner of speech when talking about a farming game. But it is true in the way that after the quite recently released Hay & Forage DLC, it is already time for the next one. The Horsch AgroVation Pack DLC is just around the corner as it will be released on July 25.

The Horsch AgroVation Pack will extend the game with a new map and 14 machines by the renowned German manufacturer.

The map in question is a little special in that it is a copy of Horsch’s own real life AgroVation farm located in Kněžmost, Czech Republic. The faithfully recreated farm layout and environment offers a variation of both small and large fields and various storage buildings. As such it provides excellent surroundings for the fleet of brand-new HORSCH machines that debut in the game.

In total the pack delivers 14 new Horsch machines of different sizes:

  • Avatar 12.25 SD (Seeder)
  • Cultro 9 TC (Mulcher)
  • Cultro 12 TC (Mulcher)
  • Cura 24 ST (Weeder)
  • Finer 6 SL (Shallow Cultivator)
  • Joker 8 RT (Disc Harrow)
  • Maestro 9.75 RX (Planter)
  • Maestro 24.50 SV (Planter)
  • Partner 1600 FT (Additional Tank)
  • Pronto 3 DC (Seeder)
  • Pronto 6 DC (Seeder)
  • Taro 6 SL (Seeder)
  • Tiger 8 MT (Cultivator)
  • Transformer 12 VF (Hoe)

The Horsch AgriVation Pack DLC can be pre-ordered now (with a 10% rebate). Those who already have purchased the Year 2 Season Pass will get it as a part of that on the release day.

FS22 Premium Edition

Giants Software has a big expansion in the plans for Farming Simulator 22. Come November it is time for the Premium Edition of the game to be released – or the equivalent Premium Expansion if you already own the base game.

The Premium version will deliver – among other things – three new crops, a new map named Zielonka with a central-to-eastern European feel, and a slew of new production chains, new brands and new machinery both for the caring for the new crops and more variety in general for the already existing ones.

The new crops will be carrots, red beets and parsnips, so in other words it is time for root crops to get a bit of a renaissance on the virtual fields.

The Premium Edition will contain all the DLCs published up until November, with the exception of the small, one-machine standalone DLCs released.

There will also be a Premium Expansion DLC which will only include the new Premium stuff.

Both the Premium Edition and the Premium Expansion can already be pre-ordered from Giants or Steam. The release day is set to November 14, 2023.

There are moments when you just have to take a pause and just enjoy the view.

This is the town of McGregor, Iowa, on the Upper Mississippi River Valley map for Farming Simulator 22.

FS22 Hay & Forage Pack is next DLC

Giants Software’s next DLC for Farming Simulator 22 is to be the Hay & Forage Pack and will offer a number of new tools for grass work.

This time the DLC will be mostly geared toward European farming style it seems, with one new German brand – mowing specialist Brielmaier – and two Austrian manufacturers – REFORM and Reiter – as new brands for the game. In addition there will be new equipment from already existing in-game brands Krone, Pöttinger, Rigitrac, and Sepp Knüsel. It also sounds like there will be some extra focus on mowing and handling grass in more difficult terrain.

In total the DLC will include 17 brand-new specialized vehicles and tools:

  • Brielmaier – Motor Mower S250
  • KRONE – EasyCut F 320 Highland
  • KRONE – Swadro S 350 Highland
  • KRONE – Vendro 820 Highland
  • PÖTTINGER – JUMBO 8450 DB
  • PÖTTINGER – TOP 1403 C
  • REFORM – MOUNTY 110V
  • REFORM – MULI T8X
  • REFORM – Metrac
  • REFORM – PrimAlpin
  • REFORM – Tipper Unit
  • Reiter – R3 compact 700
  • Reiter – R7 rd
  • Reiter – R9 profi
  • Rigitrac – SKH 60
  • Sepp Knüsel – Tornado
  • Sepp Knüsel – Tornado Plus

The DLC will be released June 13 for PC and consoles but is already available for preorder.

Oldtimer Cruising Time

Sometimes you cant help but feel a little like a roadblock. But it’s also a bit of a serene experience just chugging along, feeling the Saskatchewan summer warm wind in your face.

Old John Deere tractor is one of the Giants Farmcon gift mods and the auger is from the free silo DLC pack.

FS22 Content Update

There is new free content coming to Farming Simulator 22 in combination with the new patch 1.9.1. This time it is the two AGCO brands Massey Ferguson and Fendt that get some new love.

The new machines are two Massey Ferguson tractors – 6S and 7S – and four different balers, two from each brand. Or more exactly two different balers in two versions each.

The round balers – which also have wrapping technology built-in – are called Massey Ferguson MF RB 4160V Protec and Fendt Rotana 160 V Combi respectively while the square baler is named MF 2370 Ultra HD in its Massey Ferguson version and Squadra 1290 N UD in the green Fendt one.

In addition to the new content there’s also some fixes coming in patch 1.9.1 and the changelog is as follows:
